Section titled “Additional Foods”XPG Shake
Section titled “XPG Shake”The XPG Shake (Extra Protein and Greens) is intended to make sure you meet your daily protein requirement. Dietary protein is broken down and leveraged by your body to repair muscle tissue and create other proteins. The micronutrients in greens help support metabolic processes. You can consume this as a snack mid-day or as a dessert after dinner.
QUICK START:
Section titled “QUICK START:”- Fill a shaker bottle or blender with 12-16oz of water or unsweetened coconut milk.
- Add 2 scoops of protein powder (the goal is roughly 38g of protein) and 1 scoop of greens.
- Shake vigorously or blend and enjoy.
Nuts are a great source of fats and protein and a little goes a long way. Raw walnuts, almonds and brazil nuts are ideal and let your body naturally control your intake. Be conscious that the best way to get your energy for the day is through your lunch and dinner and if you find yourself reaching for mid-day snacks you should plan to increase the size of those meals (prioritizing fats) the following day.
Eggs are a great source of protein and nutrients and can be used as either a snack (ie. hard boiled eggs) or as the main protein source for any of your meals. Be sure to choose pasture raised eggs.
Veggies
Section titled “Veggies”Raw organic veggies are a great snack as they are both satiating and fun to eat. Guacamole, salsa, and avocado mayo are good companions to add variety and flavor. Stocking your fridge with ready to eat celery, zucchini and peppers is a great way to keep you on track and compensate for any insufficient meals.
